The main balancing issue with Egypt however was not only its units but also its starting position:
Being in the only densely populated corner of the map with a big open desert to the west, a big open sea to the north and just one faction (seleucids) as a neighbour to the east which is coincidentally also the very faction that most often is the first one to be destroyed...
(That transcontintental numidian outpost at Siwa, thousands of km/miles from where Numidia actually has most of its cities does not count)
TLDR; it will probably be op in the remaster too until we get mods which add for example Cyrene, Lybia and/or Nabateans as new factions.
Edit: And also don't forget the fact that Egypt also starts with alredy 2 wonders in their posession
Edit2: And also don't forget the fact that 3 of egypts 6 starting settlements are one of the games most fertile regions leading to explosing population counts.
Edit3: Kind of funny now that I think of it, that geographic isolation (deserts to the east, west and south, open sea to the north) was actually the reason we got that bronze age egypt and its pyramids and stuff even though they were very weak from a military standpoint most of their history. At the beginning of the timeframe the game is set in, Egypt historically controlled a huge area - even the southern anatolian coast for example and lybia - in the original they at least do not control these regions, so at least some balancing has been done.
Nubian Spearmen have 6 MORALE in the remaster LMFAOOA
That's not a joke btw, that's 50% more than hoplites, and as much as hastatii, for a cheap militia egyptian unit.
I think scythed chariots got a slight neft iirc, but dont quote me on that
A temple sounds plausible. But I guess it could also be some display error or a typo, since I saw a picture of hastati with 320 ammo... If we had the full picture it would be easier to tell if anything else was strange
If all of the non-phalanx spearmen in the game get a morale boost, it could be great (not necessarily such a big one tho), I hope the Warband unit in particular does get a big one.
Thats the ammo of the hole unit, each soldier carries 2 pilum, so, if the unit has 160 soldiers, that happens.
Its only this unit though
