PLEASE Enable Achievements for mods
Please CA keep with tradition and let us continue to earn achievements in a modded campaign. There are so many ways you can tweak these games to make them play more realistic ESPECIALLY with Rome 1. Had a blast earning achievements in other modded campaigns in other TW titles in the past and I always did it to further explore game elements, not skip ahead of the challenge. I'm not usually an achievement guy but having to choose between it and modding all of a sudden I realize I will at least miss them

Agreed. Forcing people to choose between achievements or mods is a bit silly.

Yeah this change makes zero sense because this has never been how achievements were handled in Total War games. The vast majority of TW mods are either cosmetic or make the game harder, not easier.

The total cheat mods in empire were sweet. They let me kick back plan and fight. This remastered rome has way too much micro managing. And yes the auto manage is broke. I tried everything useing the commands I slammed out money buildings armies just to pound on this, see where it led. Constipation is where it led. I have to go back to empire now and then.

This game was highly competitive play in its time.

I do think cosmetic mods shouldn't be encumbered though. 'Achievements approved',?

oh yeah ^^^ And if you use console commands at all (If they still exist) you get no Achievements for that entire campaign neither.

No, it wasn't lol. The original is riddled with exploits and ways to cheese the AI. Go watch a speedrun on youtube, people are beating short campaigns in 2-3 minutes with no mods/console commands. Or go watch LegendofTotalWar cheese the battles and win against "impossible" odds. This doesn't make it any less of a great game tho, but i see a lot of people talking like it was harder than later TW games and that's just not true.

Competitive as in MP/online.

I know Legend very well from old days, thanks.

Multiplayer is not really a reason to disable achievements for playing modded campaigns tho. According to CA most players don't even play multiplayer so the decision makes even less sense.

Well, I am totally ok without receiving any achievements when I use mods.

I do not see the problem....

You trade cards a lot or something?
May 5, 2021 @ 11:24pm
oh no, i can't get achivement when i mod the game so it isent 100% and identical to everyone....

i mean, seriously? you want achivements? go for them, you want to have fun? use mods, what prevent player from using a mod that make him overpowered and gain achivements?

would be better if there was achivement like superman where if you use a cheat you get an achivement that block all the achivements from triggering (via the in game exsisting cheats).

Often wehn modders make mods we have to use a cheat mod toned down. To see how mods work with testing.

I always do, anyway. Personally, Achievements do not mean much to me. For card players and traders, maybe so.

People wish to cheat themselves to a sense of entitlement.
If you know how to mod you can circumnavigate the system. So the options are simple. You put in the effort or do not get any achievements, as it should be for every game.

^Love the superman idea, should do that on all games. :)

I think just playing campaigns without mods is fine.

CA says though, build No., then Modded. Even if not mods active.

Oopps, "Rome Remastered":, not other titles hahaha

And no Console commands, ever, during a campaign.

There! Hasve your achievements!

(Unit texture mods only should be exempted.)

Just edit the game files ( backup first ! ) directly and you can still get achievements.
