There is a checkbox option in the game launcher (Always show this dialog) so you don't have to choose which version you want to play. Sadly this doesn't remove the launcher. If you want to have the dialog back again, you have to hold ctrl while starting the game.
2.
Tick the "Advanced Option" checkbox in launcher options -> enter "-nm"
The game starts now without intro movies, but it also disables the standard animated background in the main menu, replacing it with a classic rome total war background image. Ingame videos are not affected.
You can do that by adding >>"[Path to game.exe]" %command%<< to the launch options.
The easiest way to get the game.exe path is by 'right-clicking the game title' -> 'Properties' -> 'Local Files' -> 'Browse...' -> 'Holding down [Shift]' -> 'clicking on Total War ROME REMASTERED.exe' -> 'Copy as path'
Thanks this worked perfectly. That initial launcher was annoying af.
just want to be point out that you hold shift + Right click the .exe file to bring up the "copy as path" option
Awesome! Now I can simply click on the game starting it without a launcher or intro videos, perfect. How did you find that out?
Thank you. Do you know where to find other launch parameters?
I tried the -nm command from the list on this website:

Not sure if the other ones work also
