Transferred save from original +Guide!

Hello, I haven't seen anyone mention it but it turns out that you can actually transfer saves from the original Rome:Total War to the remastered version. I got bored and decided to try it out and it seems to work at first glance, though I haven't played it for more than a few turns.
This does not work for replays, the game will crash upon trying to load them

Dang. I think I kept all of my old TWR saves on an iOmega Zip Disk. Has anybody got a Zip Disk dive they aren't using?

You should really post this in guides section. I've seen many people asking about old save files support.

amazing, i ask this to feral interactive and they sayed that it was incompatible with original saves, have you tried to transfer battle replays??

Replays won't work though, tested them multiple times on multiple different replays.
