Yeah but we don't want them 'fixing' whatever bug is in game causing them to actually show up >: ]
Huh interesting ive put countless hours into the original and never came across them might have something to do with the difficulty setting as well since im playing on very hard/very hard. this is the army they spawned in when they rebelled https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2496778807
they'd got patched out of appearing by the BI update, but it's actually quite refreshing to see them running amok in the remaster - i missed them :)
They spawn under very specific circumstances from what I understand
Edit: I did not get to keep the Amazon units and I never got to see them in battle didn't even have a save on it I was so mad.
The rebels around there are crazy-aggressive as well, and I found that they were very revolt-happy even after a double-round of extermination. Only wanted it for the world conquest achievement!
Legolas took one down solo if I recall.
I'm european though, bestbuy sounds very american. Could it be different version for europe vs NA perhaps? Not that it matters now 17 years later, hehe.. but I am just curious.
Anyway, if you open your exprot_descr_unit file in your original Rome 1 you can easily find them there.
Ive gone back into an old campaign from my original disc version to try and replicate this and they do in fact spawn in rebel armies from well built up settlements also recently in my current campaign ive seen some rare units rewarded by the senate.
I've never seen the "Giant building sized Elephants" on the original Rome total war.
Neither CD nor Steam versions.
I've beaten almost every faction's imperial campaign. and even timed out the years before.
(Rome, Egypt, Carthage, Numidia, and Macedonians on CD version, same and rest on steam version).
If they could spawn on those versions I would have seen at least one unit.
+1000 Rebel towns slaughtered.
