Multiplayer coop campaigns
Will there be multiplayer co-op companies in the remaster?

Like in new Total War games, like Rome 2, Napoleon, etc. When 2 players can make turns one by one on a global map and then fight each other. I would be glad, If I could play with my friends in that way, and I think that actually it won't ruin the 1 Rome aesthetic and so on, and it would be a great addition to the base game.

I think that, there a lot of people who will definetely enjoy such experience and therefore buy this remaster edition.

What do you think about it?

Agreed, myself and friends used to play hotseat campaigns on kingdoms (multiplayer campaign on same pc) but total war have improved online campaign with every total war, probably peaking with Shogun 2/Rome 2/Attila.

It would massively improve replayability if total war updated the online campaign feature across older games such as its conception with Napoleon.

I understand them not doing it with Rome 1 complete edition but now they are remastering it, its a perfect time bring the online campaign feature into Rome1

I hope to god they do, and call me crazy but i would love to see like a 4 player coop campaign, i know turns would be long but me and my buddies would be down, and with all the added features they use on their newer games like gifting units mid battle, it could work.

I think the biggest issue would be campaign time as its slow for 2 people, they would have to allow building, recruiting, research and diplomacy on the same turn, and only restrcting army movement to the players turn

they had this in shogun 2 and then removed it in later games

Feral said that they see the big demand for it. I think they will make multiplayer campaign, considering that they said they will support the game for a long time.

Is it even possible tho on the old engine? Would be really cool if they added it in, i have at least one friend that would buy it if that ever gets added.

I think that they must at least try to do that because of demand.

I suppose you could do Hotseat Campaigns through "Remote Play Together"

just get Any game with that feature in steam,
then go to the game folder of said remote play together title,
delete all contents, and replace it with the folder of kingdoms, and rename the .exe to the original .exe title of previous deleted game.

This should in theory allow you to stream the game to a friend, and you should both be able to control the mouse/keyboard... or at least the mouse i think.
