Can we have a mod to bring Phalanx
Back to the original before it was nerfed? IT was hilarious seeing horses ride into the phalanxs and die.

They said nothing about nerfing the phalanx, and they seem identical from my experience. Horses still get absolutely butchered when they ride into the front of a phalanx. Even when they flank they take a good amount of losses.

Anyway, you can turn off any balancing changes by switching from Remastered to Classic in the Modifications menu. See if that helps.

I too have noticed that phalanxes are somewhat easier to penetrate from the front now. Maybe I'm misremembering the old times.

You are. I just did a comparison using Spartan Hoplites and Cataphracts and the results are pretty identical in both. About 15 horses die from the initial charge, the rest break through and mess up the formation, forcing the hoplites to use their swords, then the rest of the cataphracts got killed off slowly.

No, the Cataphracts did. Only about 7 spartans died from what I remember.

Oh nice. I wonder if the bonus Vs Cavalry applies on the hoplite sword or only the spear.
