So true, that can be the best Battle Royal ever... wasted potential... and the saddest things is than if they did the right things they will earn WAY MORE money lmaoooo
I did ! But I still miss the powers and traps...
I don't Like BR's don't think they should be removed but as a stand alone game specially now is just asking to die out trying to follow a bland trend that has been over saturated for 7 Years now.
You hate BR or like it doesn't really matter It's no difference then making a game based around 1 game mode, Imagine Halo or Cod back in the day releasing with only Free for all, No TDM, no Capture the Flag, no Search and Destroy and no Big Team battle, nothing just FFA. It would be boring and some games do that to this day and it's boring. Keep BR but have vuriaty in your game for ♥♥♥♥ sakes. It's Lazy and shows the game is only banking on a trend that will probably drop the game once it dies out and BR has been out for a while and people are wanting different things, Why would people waste time and money on a game that will probably drop off after a while.
I maybe wrong but didn't this game die because people got board and there was better games out there to play? I don't fully know why this game died but I've seen a bunch of BR games come out then die not long after and be forgotten so I assume it's because again, why play this or dedicated time to this game when you can just go and play the few games that already dominate the BR market.
I guess we will see how this goes, Will it die like it did before and the rest? or will it surprisingly thrive in the sea of the same washed out genera? maybe it will kick up a bit giving people false hope then die again? Have to wait and see I guess.
Actually they probably won't, theres a few things with making games and making money, people like to think "Just making things the way they use to be without p2w will make them a lot of money" but the problem is making money isn't good enough, this can work for things like fortnite but this game having p2w probably was a sign the game wasn't making enough money the other way as this game isn't that popular, and with the player base it did have a lot of them might not have been paying for the stuff anyway to make it.
You also got to realise that the publisher makes the most calls, and most if not always the publisher wants to make the most money the fastest way they can with unfair expectations, so it doesn't matter if the fans want the p2w gone or what, the devs can't make the call to remove it, the publisher does, the people that probably never played a game in their life, the people that don't understand gaming and the people that know there is money to suck up from this market. good example was Call of Duty Black Ops 4, it was their highest seller yet Activision claimed it as a failure because it didn't hit the extreme goal they set for it.
The p2w was probably a sign, so don't expect much from this "Come back" they probably are banking off of the "Come back" to get people back and buy all their stuff, but people are probably or at least I hope, will be sceptic at first and play the game a bit and hold off on paying just to make sure the game isn't going to just die again.
