Does someone know of any cheat-codes for this game?

My old man loves playing games like this, but as it happens, he is just himself and terribly bad and very slow at them.

He manages, but sometimes he doesnt and really needs some help via cheats.

Does someone know of any straightforward cheats?
If there are no cheats, would cheat engine work and be okay for unlimited ammo or something?

Well, there's exploits but not straight up cheats, save for the infinite ammo weapons you unlock for S ranks.

There are fairly good CE tables out already, yes. Although IIRC the cracked versions only have one trainer, and it is from a group I do not particularly trust.

Found a solution.

If you could not advocate piracy and derail my threads, that would be great, Spawk, as it gets you banned on the Steam-TOS.

If you want your account to be closed, you can go submit a steam-support ticket directly instead of derailing my threads for it.

Straight up...no there are no "cheat codes" for this game, only hacks. I don't know if it would work for "that" version of the game for your "old man" (fake news?)

He did the same thing to my thread, Spawk has been seen in the full and demo forum of this games remake, and he got one of my threads locked, just because I was kind enough to inform and enlighten others (when one would expect after 21 years that most fans of the original classic RE 2 game, are going to buy the game, and most have seen videos on youtube about long-plays or speed runs, or played the game over time, especially long plays, and 21 years later.. there isn't much to spoil).
I felt that a lot of people should know about the original before they purchased the full game, so a thread I made was right before or days before the launch day of RE 2: Remake.
And people were coming in just being rude and disrespectful towards my nostalgia that I had in my mid to late teen years, 21 years ago, it was also the first Resident Evil game for me, and both RE 1 and 2 were my favorites because they defined what a survival-horror zombie game should be like, not the modern (run around unrealistic acting virus-infected bio-weapon zombies like in Left 4 Dead and other zombie games), a long with missing or changed dialogue, and missing or changed areas, maybe even some.. missing enemies from the lab of the original RE 2 classic game. And it was important to me, to inform and enlighten others to compare them side by side before the remake of this game was launched, and if the remake was very similar, then there wouldn't be a problem with comparing at all.. right?

And Spawk got my thread locked after I reported him, that's all the mods did was lock my thread so that it would go pages back in the forum, which is disrespectful and a slap in the face.
I've seen him trolling / bullying others in other threads for the demo forum too.

I don't play the game which is very obviosly said in the OP.

I didn't say you played the game, and I simply pointed out that both you and your father are probably playing the game together in the form of (him playing the game and you watching).

Not exactly cheating but the Infinite Rocket Launcher feels like cheating once you unlock it, you could always download a trainer if you want proper cheats.

It was in the original classic RE 2 1998 version once you beat the game, it's not really a cheat once you beat the game for the first time, at least once without it.
And so it makes sense to have it in the remake, and to unlock it after beating the game at least once first.

Surprising how little comes up about the rocket launcher on youtube for the original game.

I noticed after typing original resident evil 2, or classic resident evil 2, that only the remake shows up in the google search, it's like Capcom is trying to hide any video of the original game in the search results.

And telling someone to actually have the game first, is rude.. without knowing the actual reasons why it's not in the account.
