Anyway for Claire B I usually put SLS in my box forever (even in Claire A) and I keep that revolver, especially because 9mm bullets are replaced by 45 caliber ammo. Also I use gunpowder for acid rounds or SMG bullets.
"Quickfire" mode is there to quickly destroy zombies' legs or to stumble one with quick bodyshots. If you're trying to unload all 6 bullets into the head that way - you're doing it wrong.
The SAA is better for dealing damage let's say it a SMG with 6 bullet but a worst reload time
Yes the Quick loader makes the SLS much better but for the moment i lack 9mm bullets and i have to continue with the Quickdraw gun >_<.
I don´t know how to put screencaptures on the forum but i could show you the pictures where i shot with both guns and with my 5 bullet sarting SLS i blew off 3 zombie heads in a row.....
You will continue to lack 9mm rounds. You got to craft them in Claire's B run while only finding .45 rounds. You will actually find a gun to replace your 9mm starting gun (JMB) which is pretty good but I would still save 9mm even with the better gun until you are absolutely out of .45 for the QA. The starting 9mm upgrades to a revolver later but can also still fire 9mm as well (so it says, I never actually tried using it to fire 9mm after tbh).
Also note if you feel like you are struggling with pistol related ammo you get a TON of SMG and grenade launcher ammo during your B run if you are reasonably thorough and mix most of your high quality powder into SMG ammo (tho large gunpowder + high quality for acid rounds are ok if you want more acid rounds without wasting too much high quality powder).
I mean, zombies in L4D can die from 1 shot to the leg or arm, so obviously Capcom should do the same. /sarcasm
