Challenge Runs
Does anyone have any suggestions for different challenge runs? Like in RE4 where people did a no merchant run, handgun only run, knife only, etc.

Play B scenario on hardcore. Knife(infinite) and starter handgun(no upgrades) only. But you have to kill EVERYTHING. Which means you can only make ammo. You can't save either. Already done this run a few times, and with knife only. I only added the hand gun as a slightly different variation.

And you don't even want to know my RE4 run, you'd never want to play the game again. LOL

Easy run honestly since he barely kills anything.

Complete the game without moving from the starting position at the gas station/RPD courtyard (depending on run.) Challenging enough for you? :p

Nah, hardcore speedruns start at the 1:15-1:20 range. Current records are way, waaaay below one hour in the glitchless categories.

You're welcome to come by anytime and watch. I am working on sub 54-55 since I know I can do it. The RNG can be BS at times on a few parts. I do the no side pack route of course.

Pretty much every type of challenge is well known and has been done by now, so it's hard to find anything new to suggest. Try combining and balancing rules in a way that would make it challenging but still fun for you depending on what you enjoy: knife run, no damage, speedrun, no item box, kill everything, kill nothing but bosses, no save, no crafting, no inventory expansions, 100% completion (no skipping optional puzzles and things), etc.
