I went in with zero preconceptions since I never played the original, and I still vastly prefer the original soundtrack. The new one is very generic and overly subdued. The original has an atmospheric and classic feel to it. Every game I have it on.
But the 4th survivor and ghost stories soundtracks are amazing in the remake, Kendo's theme is probably my favorite RE song ever.
it was almost boring, hardly non existent with the remake soundtrack. original gave everything more life and made things just creepier.
while the original had some memorable ones, the marshalling yard second half being one of the best ambient soundtracks of all games imo
