So, it is your first Resident Evil game then? One of the big recurring elements in the franchise is the B-movie type scripts and plot, and the hammy dialogue and voice acting. RE5 and RE6 tried to take themselves seriously to a certain degree, but the RE world is deliberately Z-grade schlock.
