Any fix for DirectX 11?
I know dx12 works better, and that's what I'm using now, but I really like the first person mod that's out there and it's only compatible with dx11. Anyone been able to keep theirs running dx11 without the freeze at startup?

I haven't played for a few weeks, I booted the game up and it crashes after the splash screens. I thought it was maybe mods so I disabled everything, but it just crashes in dx11. I set it to dx12 in the config file and it works fine, but of course RE:Framework needs dx11. I'm assuming a windows update borked it.

Nvidia driver version 457.51 worked for me. Had to downgrade to that to work again.

thanks, I'll give this a try if I really need first person. But since I'm also playing through Cyberpunk, I need my drivers up-to-date. decisions decisions.

I think you may be mixing up your games. DX12 works better in the RE3R remake but has a performance impact in RE2R. We usually stick to DX11 in this game, unless some weird Windows or driver quirk forces DX12.

it dose not ..for me dx 11 runs much worse then dx12.. i get stutter in my game and fps drops ..dx12 its smooth as butter.

The Opposite here. DX11 runs much smoother. DX12 is constantly stuttering, and lowers performance too.

Curious, do you have an AMD GPU?
Opposite. I never use DX 12 because it creates a bunch of problems for me.

What update? This game hasn't been touched since April 2019. If you mean the Nvidia driver update, then I guess welcome, new Nvidia user, get used to them breaking a random game with every update. They are doing it for around 20 years now with every single one. We are used to it by now.

It did get an update in December of 2019. They removed Denuvo and added 1 achievement.

Okay its not just me I did a driver update for the Nvida Graphics Card and it killed Dx11 option for me so I always get a error if I turn DX11 so I have to use DX12 now and most mods and shaders work only with DX11 so it kind of sucks
