HOW DO YOU BEAT WILLIAM BIRKIN!?!?!? (3RD FORM, HARDCORE, CLAIRE)

I wasted 4+ hours trying to beat William on Hardcore difficulty in Claire's story, this is some Paramount ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! I'm low on health, and only have pistol ammo and 4 acid grenades! Is there any strategies on how to beat this freaking ♥♥♥♥!?

U need tons of acid ammo and you're good to go. G3 cant hit u once u repeatedly shoot him with acid. U will be needing i guess around 20 acid ammos.

So u might want to start again and try to collect at least 20 acids. I know its hard to do but trust me u can beat him with acids

No, acid-rounds are really not that good even though the cutscene before the battle suggests those. Unless you have an odd-numbered amount of white gunpowders before the boss, you should *never* make acid-rounds.

He's actually weak to fire. It's pretty much the best occasion to use the flamethrower with Leon or the flame-grenades with Claire.

Fire will make him take a lot of damage over time, and for the eyes you're best off using Matilda with burst-fire (Leon) or the SMG (Claire).

G3 has 15,000 HP, but bursting his 3 eyes will make him fall, then when he gets up and screams his HP drops to 10k. Doing it a second time will drop it to 6k. After that he will have the eye on his chest always exposed.

So the basic strategy is to use either a handgun, magnum, SMG or sparkshot to burst all his eyes twice. After he gets up, he will immediately go grab the wall, so position yourself slightly to the side and fire the flamethrower or grenade launcher at him. When he turns back to you you can either continue what you're doing or switch to a projectile weapon. But in general, aim for the eye for the extra damage.

Even when a certain flavor of grenade round is "not the most effective", it's almost never a bad way to go. The grenade launcher simply carries Claire. I ignore the SMG entirely (and the spark shot half the time for that matter), so grenade rounds are the only thing to make with White gunpowder.

Exactly. Acid maybe weak. But the boss cant touch u so its a 100% win lol

But if u aim for S+ rank u should listen to them bcoz acid rounds may take a little while before the boss dies.

Just shoot the eyes with a pistol, and use the kneel pőhase to run around collecting ammo and the spray. Keep your distance and try to shoot eyes when he is ripping out the scenery, that animation cannot be cancelled and he throws stuff at your current location, so it is easy to avoid.

I heard that the knife even if it feels like im joking, im not, can deal quite a big chunk of damage cuz each hit registered multiple times, so if you have one and dont like the idea to start over you can try it

The acid-rounds only help with staggering him, and that's also achieved with popping the eyeballs with the SMG. The problem's not even acid being rather useless overall, it's more like you waste powders you can make SMG-ammo with.

The knife can do serious damage if you stand right behind him and hit the back and two arms with each swipe, but G3 takes a lot more damage from fire.

Depends of framerate. I set my game to variable but Im guessing im running at 30FPS so it took a while before G1 is down. Mind u, I unlocked LE5 and tried it to G1 and it's like I killed him with a knife at 120FPS like speedrunners would do.

oh boy - i just beat him on easy just popping his eyes and attacking his heart 2x times than he died - i think on Normal it wasnt much different- dont tell me the bosses on hardcore have tremendously more Hp than their Standart counterparts :(

I thought u just really need to get their weakpoints and thats it :D i mean i can imagine to repeat the eye popping must occure more times since he has larger Health but 2-3x more rinse and repeat aint gonna waste u 4hrs right? right??!!

The SMG I've found makes very quick work of the dogs since they are the only quick moving enemies that Claire needs the SMG for.
