No wristband in the lab
So when i took the cable car my inventory was full and the wristband was lost to the unknown. Just a warning people clear some space before you take the cable car

If you have no inventory space, the wristband will be on the table near the very first item box.

Not true. I did the same thing once. When you exit the cable car, there is an item box immediately on your right, and a table in front of you. The wrist band will be placed on that table if you are full

The wrist brand will be placed on the left side of the table beside the storage box

I have been playing this games for a period of time i dun see any glitches that makes your stuff disappear i think u should go make a save and they do the same thing see if it is spawn there

That's funny, I just played through this part recently with some mates watching, and we were having a discussion about how that box seemed kinda pointless considering there's another box and save point just down the hall from it.

Glad to know it actually has a use!
