As far as I know, .45 ACP is slightly more powerful, but that's it.
also I haven't sued gunpowder yet but I assumed it makes .45 for Claire. That's not the case? I can't craft it at all?
QUestion is, should I even bother with SMG ammo or just pump it all into acid rounds? Those sound way better
SMG ammo would be more useful for fighting the bosses overall, either way though you'll have leftover gunpowder to make pistol ammo. Claire also get's access to another 9mm pistol that you'll find to be a bit nicer than the revolver. The revolver get's it's uses too, though...
Definetely acid rounds. Maybe it's just me, but SMG is pretty lackluster in this game.
Only useful vs lickers? Didn't expect to hear that... So it's worse against bosses? What about fire rounds? From what I udnerstand I can't craft it
Also since I'm on the topic, is the suppressor worth putting on the SMG? The reduced recoil is nice but I suppose it doesn't serve much purpose beyond that. I stealth past lickers. Or Mr.X ignores shots from suppressed SMG?
Matilda is not too bad. I'd prefer to craft shotgun shells but the shotgun torned out to be a tad underwhelming so the normal gunpowder went to pistol rounds anyway on my Leon A campaign
Silenced SMG does not alert Lickers or Mr.X to your presence, and the stability is nice because you often have to hit weak spots, recoil would make going full auto miss a lot more without the surpressor.
