Comparison: Flamethrower vs Stun gun
Which do you think is best? For me definitely flamethrower. You dont have to rely on flame rounds to kill those vegetables in the lab. I did almost no damage with the stun gun. It missed like all the time even though i aimed decent. Also bosses interrupt it easily.

The stun gun because it does a ton of damage and works extremely well against the sewer monsters.

really? i wasted all ammo of the damn stun gun on one g right in the eye and he only grunted and bled a bit before standing back up and the flamethrower well i missed it first playthrough and well it only exists for the ivy zombies so why the ♥♥♥♥ dont you get it in the lab?

What difficulty? Did you overcharge the shot? You can easily kill Gs with 1 or 2 charged shots.

EDIT: at least on standard difficulty

Flamethrower seemed very useful in general with plenty of ammo. Spark shot has limited ammo and only seemed useful on zombies, though Bawkdasoup seems to like using it on G4 for some reason.

flamethrower cuz the birkin bossfight becomes trivial thanks to it

Which doesn't kill them totally like the flame rounds do, that being said you can just pop a pustle on them and it stuns them long enough to run buy anyways.

They'll come back though unless you hit them with a flame round after so they turn to ash.

The plant zombies are a joke. I only play on hardcore, and all you need to do is shoot their spores, and they crazy long enough to slip past.

But on topic, I like the stun-gun more.

The stungun is garenteed 1 overcharge to kill a licker or ivy.
So it gets my vote for that alone..

Flamethrower doesn't do crap to lickers.
GreyKarasu Jan 31, 2019 @ 3:20pm
And why you need to kill lickers? And even if you want you have grenade launcher for that.
On ivy both weapons good.
But flamethrower clearly wins vs bosses. 3rd Birkin fight with only flame and 4 grenades - easy win.

Really, Flamethrower is generally just much better honestly, but the Sparkshot does have uses. Doesn't matter a ton however as Claire's grenade launcher will pretty much carry her through most of the game with proper resource management. Guaranteed stuns for the most part with acid rounds, and easy kills with flame rounds on more difficult enemies.

Fire visuals are superior soooo flamethrower for sure! If only it were infinite :/

In the original game, it was useless except against Birkin's later forms.
Oh I know that, I personally just don't like using it against Birkin or anything fast moving in the remake because of the need to charge it up after hitting them.

After playing the Flan Tofu mode, I've got a newfound appreciation for the Spark Gun.
