Window Boarding in Scenario B.
So I have the boarding up down to a T in Scenario A with a little trial and error. It's rather straight forward though, and I spent a while in that part of the police station so I know it all off by heart now.

I just started Scenario B as Leon, and right away there are 2 windows I've never seen before that require boarding up.

Will the windows I boarded in Scenario A still be boarded up, or will they be exposed again?

If they are still exposed, do we get all the same pile in's from Scenario A, like when Clarie and Leon meet outside. In scnerio A you should board all of the west corridor to prevent more zombies coming (the rest are used on windows with banging zombies on them, it's very straight forward)

Am I gonna be forced to have to deal with some open windows in Scenario B? I'm not sure how it's gonna play out, but it would be cool to know if any of you know how the boards work in scenario B please as it will save time with trial and error and then I can get on to trying for S and S+ after.

thanks.

OK thanks.

So what about boards in the B scenario. Should I just be boarding up the same windows in the west corridor mainly, are there even enough boards for this? LoL. I have not seen any boards yet. I assume items are in different places too?

i think theres just less boards for B

Yeah, makes sense as it should be harder than the first time round.

I guess I will just have to save stagger and work out where the places are that need them most.

It was great that with Claire A it was all very familiar as far as stopping the constant flood of them in the west corridor. only need 3 or 4 for that though so might still be doable. I think this is the only area that gets pour in's through the game.

The other times are just to stop ambushes.

Board the east corridor and the east office (or the window next to the chained door). The west corridor will have zombies initially, but then they will be replaced.

It barely matters IMO. The boarding mechanic sounded interesting but you don't have enough boards to make the hallways you closed with shutters in the original safe anyway. There is like 3 windows I bother to board up, and the boards are found very close to them. So there isn't any strategy to it. And it doesn't carry over to 2nd run anyway. Just wasted potential. The one's I bother with are the obvious one right next to Dark Room. Open East Office window. And the one on the way to Interrogation room. Though you only run through it once so you could just kneecap the zombie.

This is for B, yeah? thanks.

I can't speak for B, but in A they can make a huge difference as there are scripted pile in's that will absolutely fill the west corridor with zombies if you don't board the windows up. The difference between boarding up the corridor and not is massive.

other than this I tended to board up the ones with zombies banging on them, in order to prevent ambushes.

I'm not sure if these windows will serve as entry points for later zombies or not as I boarded them up in A.

I did experiment with the west corridor though, and every one of the 3 windows gives you another 2 zombies 2 times. So you end up with 12 Zombies and 2 Lickers if you didn't board the windows up before Mr X.

The first cue is when you meet leon at the fence and get the bolt cutters. this will spawn 2 per window left if they are not boarded up. the jig here is that there is a board right before this cut scene, you;re meant to back track and use it to prevent this from happening (as you most likely used your dark room board to prevent the break in at the bottom of the stairs)

I didn't play the original much as I never had it as a kid. my best mate had it though and i watched him play a lot. I know there were boards in that, but there were electric shutters, too right that kept them out?

TBH though mate I think when we look at the new version, there are loads of little bits that are missing from the original that would have been awesome, but unfortunately they are missing.

Game is still really good though so not gonna focus on what is missing and rather what is there.

In Leon A, boarding the east corridor can be your greatest help in a no-damage run, yes. (Claire does not really care about that corridor, she goes through once in total.) In Leon B, you will be using the west corridor more.

OK thanks man. I had started boarding the west corridor in leon A, thinking it was going to be just like claire A. so should I not be bothering with this corridor then until leon B?

The west wing is more important on leon's second run. You can't sneak past the licker(s) if the corridor is full of zombies. Claire has the heart key, so she won't have to use the corridor in order to get the jackhandle.
