Observation room question

Hi guys, i just play first time and first run for leon, i saw some videos when licker jump trough that one sided glass in room and when you run out of room there will be Mr. X that smash trough wall. But when i went there, glass was already broken and Mr. X wasnt there.. why is it that? Did i miss something?

The jump scare seems to only happen with Claire

The licker breaks through on Clair A (Not sure about B runs). Mr. X was out and about for me but did not smash the wall.

he does if you spend too much time in the observation/interrogation room, he smashes through the press room wall on your way out of that area

Too much time? Literally just go in and loot what you need and he's bursting through. The times I spent more time in there he didnt break through

not for me, all though I walked on my way out so maybe that's the trigger?

I don't think it depends on time spent there, but I'm not sure what else. He hasn't broken through on Claire A or B walkthroughs, but the time I played Leon A he went right through as I was going back.

I've been there 4 times at least and half of them he's burst through half of them he didn't. It does make a handy entrance for the secret box location though.

I've been through the game six times and have done both A/B for both characters and have never once experienced Mr. X breaking through the wall. The event has to be triggered by something or other. Honestly didn't even know that could happen; go figure.

Its triggered by sprinting.

What? That can't be it. I sprint everywhere. Why would you ever walk unless it is the first playthrough?!

I did this my first playthrough, why walk when you run.
