NMM not finding RE2 when i scan for installed games. Anyone else having trouble with this?

So first off i have RE2 installed on another hard drive because my laptop can only carry 250
GB which really sucks. I have NMM installed onto my laptop but i downloaded RE2 into my 1TB hard drive. Would i have to download RE2 into my 250 GB laptop hard drive in order for NMM to detect RE2 and mod the game or what? Thanks for your time.
Also im still kinda new to PC so i apologize if i sound ignorant in any way.

The game doesn't use nexus mod manager, it uses the fluffy mod manager. There's a page for it on Nexus Mods itself, which has a link for the newest version of the mod manager

You don't need any MM. Mods can simply be dropped into the re2 folder and should work just fine.

Also, in general, forget NMM. Use Vortex for supported games (or ModOrganizer 2 for Bethesda type ones).
