I don´t think money will be the problem for Capcom and I bet most of those who bought Resi 2 Remake will also buy Nemesis, since they are already triggered lol =)
Golden times for Capcom I would say.
But to answer your question, who even knows how far capcom plans to go with these remakes. I'd say re 3 is going to sell just fine, and I think they are really on a groove right now with their "new" re engine. I think they'd be smart to push out some other remakes, Code Veronica and the outbreak series would be really nice but I'm not holding my breath. Capcom hasn't usually been a company to make really smart moves imo.
RE4 big problem is its clunky control. Unplayable
So I want RE4 remake
I have been playing so many modern shooter game....and when I tried RE4 again this year...I was like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this is so clunky...very slow aim and cant aim + walk making it very clunky af
Since RE4 is the best RE, I think it need a proper Remake treatment
The only real issue is that it (and CV) is one of the longest games in the franchise.
Giving it the production values of RE2'19 would be a way larger project than RE2'19 and RE3'20 combined.
We'd probably see RE9, Zero Remake, and the Playstation 6 before even the most hardcore fan would dare consider dreaming about it.
CVX absolutely needs a remake.
Wasn't it the actual intended RE3? But got renamed because it was a Dreamcast exclusive, or was delayed, or something like that?
Either way, it's more important to the plot of the series than Nemesis. Even if I do like that game.
The old RE2 sold 4.96 million units
The new RE2(RE) sold 4.7 million units
However the number are a bit misleading, as the OG RE2 numbers include multiple systems (even if capcom doesn't say it does on Investor Relations info) and with several rereleases of the title. Meaning it includes people buying the orginal one multiple times with releases spreading from 1998-2003. Giving it a total of 5 years of sales vs RE2(RE)'s less than 1 year of sales.
RE3 only sold 3.5million units so its likely to get bumped by its remake.
