Is it possible to disable aim assist in assisted mode?
Hi,
I love the the ambiance of horror games but i don't like being stressed out by running out of ammo to easily. Does the assited mode still have auto-aim even tough it's disabled in options?
Thanks

Yes. Start the game in Assisted, then once the intro is finished and you have control, open the main menu and disable aim assist from the options.
Keep in mind that your save file will still be flagged as using aim assist, even a single frame on it is enough.

Play on normal at least. Assisted is insulting.

It's fine, never cared much about achievements etc ;)
I just want to enjoy the story and puzzles without worrying to much about running out of bullets.

I play my games however i want buddy. I can deal with pretty much anything a Dark Souls throws at me, i simply don't like risking been stuck by running out of ressources at some point.

I hear ya, I ALWAYS play the Persona games on the easiest difficulty because I'm there for the day to day and social gameplay. Not slogging through the umpteenth monotonous copy paste dungeon. These options exist as just that, an option to play the game that suits you best.

Eh, assisted is a chill enough difficulty. Not like you cannot die on it, but the lower enemy damage helps.
As for resources, a player doing well on assisted or stumbling a lot on normal has the same effect in gameplay, but not in terms of enjoyment.

The only thing I may not be fully okay with is the player health regen on assisted. It suits modern games but not this series. I guess they just wanted to use the RE7 player regen system somehow here as well.

im not the boss of you, right? XD jesus, if i was the boss of you, i´d hold you to higher standards than you hold yourself, and you'd be better for it, so you're welcome.

Oh watch out, he can deal with dark souls... I bet if DS gave you the choice to choose dificulty, you'd be playing on easy... SO what do you do, farm souls until you hit hard enough to face the first boss? XD

The fact that you play on assited, but want the auto aim to be removed just shows...Wanna fool yourself into thinking you're using yor own skills to aim and kill, and not that you nnutter the game so much it can hardly defend itself from the most basic functioning human being.

Play on normal, get an ammo mod, that increases the ammou counts on the game, and be a man https://www.nexusmods.com/residentevil22019/mods/182

Also, you know knives exist, right? and defensive buffs, and so on... Like, you dont have to kill everything, and if you want to... Earn that right, finishe the game under any of the many challenge runs, to actually earn the weapons that would allow you to go ham, unlimited ammo.

Earn it.

PS the more ammo you have ON YOU, the beefier the bosses are.. so you know, that applies to all difficulties.

Err… no, that applies to Standard only. Assisted is locked to 120% player damage, Hardcore is locked to 70% player damage. This translates back to enemies taking the exact same damage, regardless of your current difficulty score. The only thing that changes is how much damage enemies deal: that is either 70 or 80% on Assisted and 200% or 300% on Hardcore.

Nope, if you have excess ammo, enemies become beefier, played it too many times... spent over 50 shotgun rounds, 10 acid and 10 flames on the first birkin ON NORMAL, when i was trying rhe ammo/weapon overhaul mod... LEts just say, very suspicious. Same goe for zombies. and i cant believe someone wh likes the series as much as you do, and frequents these forums doesnt know that. Thought you out of most, would.

Yes, they don't change on Assisted and Hardcore. I wrote the damn guide on it, I saw plenty enough numbers to know how this game works, especially its combat mechanics.

Oh so that applies ONLY to normal? I´m gonna have to try that mod on hardcore then... So depends on the angle, normal can be harder? Not sure if you saw the birkin fight i posted, i deliberately dropped ammo before the fight, just to make him squishier, and i have to say, it seems to work, compared to the previous time when i went in fully loaded, and after shooting him with all i told you, the guy was still charging in.

So at least ON NORMAL, enemy beefiness, specially bosses is tied to how much ammo you have on you.

its not, assisted is the only way to play to get the achievement that requires no healing items used at all.

Well, another option is to earn the rocket launcher and try the no heal mode on hardcore XD, no need to touch assited, ever.

Yes. The lowest difficulty of Standard is the same as the highest on Assisted. Similarly, the highest of Standard is the same as the lowest possible difficulty of Hardcore.

Interesting, it kinda makes sense tho, cause on hardcore the ammo count is legit lower, and in a few be runs i just had to knife the final birkin, not because is the easiest way to reliably kill it, but because i was pretty dry on ammo by that point.

We should play outbreak someday.

Do we really have to do this? I've finished the original REs countless times when i was a kid and had pretty much nothing better to do than that. Now i'm 33 i've got a backlog the size of Donald Trump's ego, i don't want to spend hours optimizing the way i play to make every shot count, especially considering zombies keep spawning randomly in cleared out spaces.

I like hardcore fps, action game, platformers. I don't like survival horrors gameplays that much, moving and aiming is clumsy. I like the story, puzzles atmosphere and just wanna enjoy that. Live with it.
