I'm sorry, but I refuse your reality. Maybe if someone remade it, as a 3rd person game in the Unity Engine, and reworked the game then maybe.
Somehow Dead Aim is even worse, but I adhore both of those games.
lol. I think you should since the game was referenced in Resident Evil 0 intro.
That sounds awesome, hopefully you and your cousin are still in speaking terms. And enjoy playing Resident Evil together.
What's so problematic about Survivor being canon? It's just a small side-story with no consequences in the overall timeline, so it can be easily ignored. Some of the main RE games did actually more damage to the franchise's timeline than any of the spin-offs ever did.
And seriously, Dead Aim isn't great, but worse than the first Survivor? For games that were entirely designed around shooting things, the enemies in the first Survivor don't even have weakspots, so you don't need to bother aiming since wherever you shoot at it deals the same damage. The gun play in Dead Aim is quite more interesting and it also has some new enemies created for that game instead of recycling pretty much every enemy model from previous games.
My first issue, is the about of enemies there are. There are countless Tyrants, hunters, lickers, it's like someone telling a farfetch story: where things gets more and more surreal, even for a RE title.
Second Issue: Is Ark Thomspon himself, I hate amnesia type of stories, and this didn't change my mind. How and why is Leon even part of his backstory. Leon was 21, and really was a nobody until after the events of RE2.
Yeah the story of Dead Aim is just bad, and nothing made sense with that game. It did layout a groundwork for Resident Evil Revelations and for Leon's character in RE4.
Umbrella put the blame of raccoon city incident on morpheus. So as a result Morpheus steals a new type of virus , hijacks an umbrella cruiser and infects everyone in there with the T virus.
With the position that he had in Umbrella He also made a secret reasearch facility to make a new type of T Virus to rule the world.
It's opening was also awesome and was inspired from the X-Files serie.
And Dead Aim IMO made it a D-
Yeah I call bull on that story. At the time Capcom, was seeing a blacklash in sells due to the Nintendo deal, and the PS2 games where just a whatever effort game.
Again, I refuse to see this as canon. I can agree that as a non-canon Resident Evil game is playable.
I got to see both opening again to make a statement on that. Edit: I see why, still they are both 90s grade cheesy.
