Yup, Hive was the movie.
Good to know, i personally think, 'the hive' has more of badass weight to it.
They were totally ok dumb B movie shlock.
Servicable as popcorn fodder but not as a RE movie.
I would rather watch the Capcom animated movies, those were at least faithful to all the games prior. (and had some cool moments in them)
Unless NEST is a clever acronym for something, it's pretty mediocre as far as names go, though.
It's pretty much a high tech facility like the one from the movie though, as opposed to the original where it looked more dark, industrial and gloomy, like a 1998 view of cyberpunk, where things were still chunky and obtuse, rather than thin, sleek and minimalist.
So I suppose the name NEST is a nod towards HIVE, where they drew the inspiration from. Probably.
2. In the original RE2 lab doesn't even have a name.
I'm so glad the guy making those movies is also handling the Monster Hunter movie, and OH what a surprise, his wife is also in that movie.
At least the monsters look like actual Monster Hunter monsters and that one hunter outfit and sword looks like straight out of World
It comes closer to what we get in the game than the movie's Hive did anyway.
Oh my god those movies are terrible.
