*MINOR SPOILERS* Signal Modulator Missing?

On my Claire playthrough now and I'm in the greenhouse's stairway (storage room) and the signal modulator appears to be missing from the wall, there is no prompt to pick it up, it seems to be invisible? Just wondering if it's supposed to spawn somewhere else on a 2nd run?

mine is not invisible but not only does not work (i've tried for 1 hour, i cannot make it work) but using it also disables my mouse, so i have to close the game.

It's next to a dead USS soldier just before your about to walk across the first bridge.

The Signal modulator is missing, there is nothing near the USS soldier pls helppp

Shyy, it is only there on the 2nd scenario. On the first scenario, you can find it at the end of the greenhouse path, after going down on a ladder, past a load of zombies and two surprise lickers, and climbed a long stair upwards.
On the 2nd scenario, it is next to the soldier you see at the start of the bridge that leads to the central elevator. It is kinda difficult to miss, frankly.
