Hardcore Ada Part is BS(spoiler)
In hardcore a zombie can take between 1~19 bullets to take down (my average is around 8)

So throw you a situation where you need to know where precisely to click in order to progress while enemies are plenty and almost impossible to dodge is pure BS.

Not to mention later Mr.X show up on a one way corridor where you need to know exactly where to hack just to proceed, no escape, no run around, just a timer till death. This requires multiple playthrough so you know exactly what to do in a finite timeframe, which is tense, but stupid in a game design sense.

Hardcore Leon gives me all the hardship and what it really feels like to survive and make every shot count.

While the Ada part seems poorly planned and the devs only played a couple time on Normal and call it fine.

p.s I did beat it on hardcore and I think the Mr.X system can easily be used for Nemesis in RE 3 remake, it was a great time looking back at it.

It's great. Rarely go for the head, leg shoots off quick and they are easy to avoid crawling. :)

Just a tip about Zombies: the head is a bullet sponge. I guess the Devs knew everyone would think "If I target the head, I'll get the brain, and I'll do maximum damage too." So I think they purposely reinforced the "head resistance".

So, forget about it. Target the knees. When the zombie is a crawling turd, go behind him and finish it with the knife. I just played the demo, but that's what I learnt, and I don't think they changed so much the game paramaters for the final version.

I honestly don't understand why people keep shooting zombies in the head over and over again when they know it takes a lot of bullets to kill them. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

They're ZOMBIES! Their brain is already dead and rotted from the virus (except for the tiny part of the brain that controls movement).

Shoot them in the legs then they're easy to dodge.

Because this isn't just true for the head. Shooting the zombie anywhere will take a lot of bullets, and most people are trying to KILL the zombies, not just down them. Also, if you've been avoiding shooting them in the head, you're probably not aware that occasionally a single bullet will cause a zombie's head to explode in this game. Most people are going for the head because they figure "It takes tons of bullets wherever I shoot, at least if I shoot the head I get a chance of it exploding."

Wow.......Just wow.

You might be the one person in the entire world who's never seen a zombie movie, TV show, or heard anything about them.

It's pretty common knowledge to anyone on planet earth who knows anything about horror fiction that the way to kill a zombie is to shoot them in the head. That's literally the most widely known and understood thing in horror, even more known than "Sunlight kills vampires."

I find it amusing that you've been flattering yourself that you're smarter and more knowledgeable than the average player of this game.

Adas section is very easy even on hardcore. Use focus shots and aim for the legs. You have a flashbang, use it against Mr X if necessary (it really isnt).
Lanzagranadas May 19, 2019 @ 9:16am
Ada's section is just about knowing where the things you have to hack are so you just hack them and get out of there before giving enemies a chance to get you. It doesn't require any kind of skill whatsoever, it's just trial and error.

Just as a note you can stumble them when shooting them in the head, the moment they get stumble from the knockback you can run past them, leg can also stumble them but at least from my experience the head is what makes them have to recover longer than leg shots.

Actually headshots do the exact same damage as body shots but it has a low chance of critical exploding the head.

Its RNG on critical shots because I've had times where a single shot was all I needed because it was a crit... strangely enough though it happens to female zombies more often than male zombies.
talgaby May 19, 2019 @ 11:00pm
It is pure RNG, yes. I have killed many zombies with headshots only where their head never popped.
Headshots have a very high chance to do +10% damage (especially with entirely aimed shots), but as far as regular hits got, that is it.
Dan Smith May 20, 2019 @ 12:43am
Adas part is easy. Quit crying OP.
Wyrtt May 20, 2019 @ 5:35am
Just run past them? You dont need to fire a single shot there. and when you backtrack to the lift you can use one free flashbang to avoid last zeds.

Capcom should make Ada's "pea shooter" have unlimited ammo, or just make her unkillable once her health gets to Danger.
