The game does not launch on windows 10, just like Resident Evil 7 - WTF CAPCOM
I purchased Resident Evil 7 in October, and i had issues with the game not launching. It would just launch into a windowed blackscreen, and close down. Many people seemed to have the same issues.

When i just tried to launch Resident Evil 2 for the first time the same thing happened! This has to be a Capcom issue. I'm extremy upset right now... Why is this happening? I had no issue with the demo.

My game was crashing on startup with a black window. I looked in the Windows Event Viewer and RE2 was crashing due to a file called "nahimicv3devprops2.dll" in my case. I opened my Task Manager and ended all the tasks with "Nahimic" in their name and the game started up just fine.

Apparantly the file is associated with the programs Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar which are associated with ASUS motherboards. I unistalled both those programs just in case since I use an external DAC anyways and not onboard audio.

Moral of the story: ending the tasks and getting rid of anything with "Nahimic" in the name fixed the game.

Based on the description provided, it appears the Sonic app is injecting itself into the audio stream or hooking into the audio driver to sniff out sound stage in order to identify the source and direction of the sound (i.e., enemy footsteps).

Same thing happening for me, launches in a windowed blackscreen. I heard there were new AMD drivers released related to this game so that could be the issue, but I tried updating mine and it said I was already up to date so I'm back to square 1.

Happening to me to. GTX 1080. I've updated drivers.

FWIW I ran RE7 successfully on a separate Windows 10 machine, so I'm not convinced Win10 is the issue.

So disappointing, I was looking forward to playing it :(

Restart your pc

also after that doesn't work https://www.howtogeek.com/123646/htg-explains-what-the-windows-event-viewer-is-and-how-you-can-use-it/

I restarted my PC. Good news is the game no longer crashes. Bad news is the game just launches to a windowed black screen, and then stays there. So.... i guess that's something goood? Still broken af though..

Well time to link the solution to your intial problem to the first post, and close the thread, and start a new thread with your new problem.

Ok more good news. I let it sit in the black screen for about 3 minutes, and then the game launched and i'm playing it fine now. Kinda scuffed way of launching a game, but atleast it's working for now. This fix might posssibly make Resident Evil 7 work again too. I'll have to test it on that game later.

Glad for you. Still think you should link the fix to your post. Lots of threads about this issue popping up apparently.

Windows 10, started up fine. Runs fine, plays fine. The only oddity is that for some reason, it's reading the Intel IGP as the primary GPU instead of my GTX 1060.
Set your GTX as your Primary GPU and Disable the Intel GPU :)

Game relies heavily on GPU and CPU, so make sure all of your drivers are updated and see if that works.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The devs don't know how to program from Windows 10, and the issue with Resident Evil 7 was never fixed. Hopefully they will fix it for this game because it's new. But they had no issues screwing over a lot of people that purchased Resident Evil 7, and could never play it.

im running 2700x evga 2080ti 16gb trident z ram and 500 gb ssd and not had a issue there was 16k people at eu unlock only a small number have had issues so ofc it must be the devs and not the users pc

I am having the same RPD computer issue and I am on Windows 7 64 bit. It is not just windows 10.

'input not supported' is the error I'm getting and keep on getting. How do I fix this? Otherwise, I'm requesting a refund. Pretty ridiculous to be honest, can't even launch the game.

Input not supported will likely mean either two things. Either the graphical input is not supported ie a gpu issue, or there is a controller input not supported which is likely caused by either a device connected to the pc or a virtual device (device being keyboard, mouse, controller, webcam, ect.

The quickest solution is to try unpluggin and disconnecting all of your devices and see if the game will launch.

Uninstaling Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar and then reseting my pc fixed the issue for me.

I'll try that. Redownloading the game again in hopes it was going to fix it. I'll report back shortly. Thanks for the help though!
