The game does not launch on windows 10, just like Resident Evil 7 - WTF CAPCOM
I purchased Resident Evil 7 in October, and i had issues with the game not launching. It would just launch into a windowed blackscreen, and close down. Many people seemed to have the same issues.

When i just tried to launch Resident Evil 2 for the first time the same thing happened! This has to be a Capcom issue. I'm extremy upset right now... Why is this happening? I had no issue with the demo.

My game was crashing on startup with a black window. I looked in the Windows Event Viewer and RE2 was crashing due to a file called "nahimicv3devprops2.dll" in my case. I opened my Task Manager and ended all the tasks with "Nahimic" in their name and the game started up just fine.

Apparantly the file is associated with the programs Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar which are associated with ASUS motherboards. I unistalled both those programs just in case since I use an external DAC anyways and not onboard audio.

Moral of the story: ending the tasks and getting rid of anything with "Nahimic" in the name fixed the game.

Based on the description provided, it appears the Sonic app is injecting itself into the audio stream or hooking into the audio driver to sniff out sound stage in order to identify the source and direction of the sound (i.e., enemy footsteps).

Mine is crashing in the same scenario as well.

I have tried:

* granting full permissions in Kaspersky Antivirus
* Restarting Steam
* Validating game files
* Setting UseOptimizeShader=Disable in re2_config.ini
* Running as administrator

Demo launched fine as well...

Same here. Im pissed. Resident evil 7 does the same thing. Black screen comes up, it closes nothing happens. That's it.

It's not our PC's. It's the devs. I have a 1080ti, 32gb of trident Z memory, i7 running my games off 3tb of SSD. I have a beefy computer. The devs don't know how to program from Windows 10, and the issue with Resident Evil 7 was never fixed. Hopefully they will fix it for this game because it's new. But they had no issues screwing over a lot of people that purchased Resident Evil 7, and could never play it.

Windows 10 user here, I've already played for several hours. Sounds like a driver issue on your guys side. Make sure you are running an up to date version of windows 10, and your drivers are up to date as well.

My entire machine is up to date with Windows 10 Home. What version of window are you running Panic Fire?

im running 2700x evga 2080ti 16gb trident z ram and 500 gb ssd and not had a issue there was 16k people at eu unlock only a small number have had issues so ofc it must be the devs and not the users pc
Windows 10, started up fine. Runs fine, plays fine. The only oddity is that for some reason, it's reading the Intel IGP as the primary GPU instead of my GTX 1060.

Working for me on windows 10. Perhaps windows 10 is not the issue. What other things do you have in common with others who have this issue?

I just solved this for me I had to delete the one shot demo from steamapps/common folder since both one shot demo and game was installed in same place.
