But if you do have a PS2 or something, ebay or amazon will be your best bet.
Best PS2 emulator is "PCSX2"
You can buy the PS1 games on the PS Network and play them on a PS3 or PS4.
Oh and all the old games (RE1, RE2 and RE3) are PS1 games.
I believe ePSXe and PSX emulator are the best. Just my personal experience, though.

Arguably the best version of the original is the Gamecube version with full analog control support. The dolphin emulator works amazingly well for it too.
