The remade bgm imo is really bad, it doesn't even cover much of the game like the og tracks do and isn't as scary by a mile. Anyone also agree or prefer the remade bgm and why?

Everyone prefer the original bgm because there is actually music in the game that way.

I gotta admit though.. the last boss music in the remade bgm of Leon's main scenario is absolutely EPIC!.. The elevator one with the choir. The entire escape sequence had good music and Mr. X soundtrack is cool too. I mean, the music that is there, is good.. problem is they are often too low and don't loop.. so they only play for a few seconds and never again.

It was a master work game but i enjoyed 3 more, which is why the news of 3 being out sourced baffles and concerns me

This is the best music in RE2 remake in my personal opinion. So epic! The only song that I actually prefer the remake over the original.

Super Tyrant and Leon lab scape song is one of the three best videogame songs ever made (being the other two FFVII Sephirot final battle and Silent Hill 1 intro ones).

RE2R OST is really, really good, and fit better in RE2R. It is more subtle and leaves space for enviromental sounds, and thats on purpose!

Changing tracks everytime you enter a room is soooo 90s... if you want that, well buy original OST or play the original RE2.

I switch back and forth. The new one does not seem that much different in terms of fitting the place and overall music enjoyment factor. Yes, I listened to it a lot less, then again, it is not 21 years old to have the advantage. Still, you can tell that the same person did both, as some motifs are quite similar.
