I'm maybe stupid or blind, but how Hunk named a 4th survivor, if Leon, Claire, Sherry and Аda is already - 4. How Hunk is not named the 5th survivor?

Ada officially died in the original RE2. Her surviving was a retcon or something added in the US release. I can't remember the specifics. But originally Capcom had Leon A and Claire B as canon, where Ada died.

Its a play on the number 4, which is "Shi" in japanese. Shi also means "Death". Hence the Grim Reaper.

Leon, Claire, Sherry and Hunk were the first four who managed to survive and escape Raccoon City during the events of RE2. Timeline-wise Ada escaped a day after that (see Umbrella Chronicles), making her actually the fifth survivor since Hunk had already survived by then.

Also, since you never see how Ada survives in RE2, her fate was unclear so it couldn't have been confirmed at that point.

It is the current canon route, but only since 2009. The original canon was the much more often-played and popular Leon A Claire B one.

Ada didn't die in any scenario. Whether you played Leon B or Claire B route she showed up at the train station to give the player the rocket launcher. She just wasn't officially confirmed as a survivor until RE3 epilogues, but wasn't confirmed as dead either.

She seemed to, yet she shows up again later to throw you the rocket launcher (at around 1:40 in this video). Leon recognizes her (and it is the same voice) whereas Claire (who didn't meet Ada) is like "who are you??"

So she never died actually. But also don't forget, that RE2remake twisted some things like umbrella operative personal in original game was after G-virus, not for birkin. Sooo i guess you get the point.

Umbrella Chronicles changed alot in terms of story. However, Adas survival was clear with Resident Evil 3 where one of the epilogues showed her alive after the events of RE2.

But at the time when RE2 was the last installment of the series, she was dead. Yes, she showed up to toss you the rocket launcher, so she didn't die through the fall or Mr. X beating her up. (Both is pretty unlikely...but whatever).
But right after the fight against the tyrant, the entire lab exploded and she was not on the train at that moment nor did she made it out of the tunnel.
And since there is no way, she made it out of the lab on the regular way....she cant be one of the survivors.

Heck...even the later explanations of her survival where pretty far fetched.

Don't forget. that she had a grapling gun/hook. + in RE2Remake she had a tool that managed to hack umbrella system, sooo whatever.

Back in RE2 from 1998 she had neither the grappling hook nor the stupid hack pistol.
And even if. What is she gonna do with it? The ways out of the lab a very limited. She did not escape through the emergency tunnel and her gadgets wouldn't help her at the elevator shaft.
