You mean like multiplayer? The game's custom engine is like 50% (or more) physics simulation, with no built-in networking, AFAIK. A "co-op" mod is basically impossible -- and even if it were possible, replicating physics over the network is very low-level engine-side stuff, ie not meant for scripting. Pretty sure the only way that you'll ever get multiplayer in this game is if the devs add it to the core engine.

I'm trying to make something because I really want this to be in the game too, if I figure out something I will tell you! :)

My idea was to have a sort of local coop, where one noita is controlled by the keyboard and the other with a dual-stick controller. I have no Idea how to do that (I'm not very code savvy) but there should be a way. I was thinking it would look something like spelunky, or enter the gungeon coop. or even something like super mario galaxy's 2 player mode where player 2 plays as a customizable ghost wand. that way you don't need to deal with networking.

So hostile, all you need to hack up some co-op is to create a second controllable character with its own bindable keys and let people figure out how to remotely stream their screens.

If you want us to believe you, you should maybe explain why. The more insults you throw, the dumber you sound

I think making an extra controllable entity in-game isn't a problem at all. just add a few files and some code. however, the problem is adding more controls. from what I've looked at so far, the modding api only lets you detect a set of inputs specific to the default player. If someone could figure out how to detect more kinds of input, this may just be possible.

split-screen would be better then their is no network involved. 4 players xbox controllers. BAM works. Easier too.

The devs hinted at possible local multiplayer, so I'm excited to see what they come up with
