Music notes not working in beta branch

I just started a new run after the beta branch update with potion reactions. I got the music note spells early on in the run and later i tried using add trigger with a spell and a music note but they didn't work. When starting a new run i got the music notes again and they just didn't work, as in they literally didn't appear and just consumed mana and recharge time.
