I don't know why one's first suggestion would be the Sun Quest. That's, like, the most tedious thing, and all it's good for is unlocking Omega Blackhole and a couple cosmetic changes/achievement pillars; not exactly doing "as much as possible".
It would be useful to know what they have done so far. How about collecting all the orb spells, killing the High Alchemist, killing the Pyramid Boss, the Dark/Coral Chest quests, the Moon quests, killing Leviathan (to unlock the useful portal room for all future runs), killing the Dragon, killing Wand Connoisseur, killing Mecha Kolmi, killing Grand Master, killing Tiny, the Lake tablet quests, going through The Tower, the Avarice Diamond quests, an 11-Orb run, a NG+ 33-Orb run, etc.
