Lukki minion keeps bringing explosives to me?

It's like this thing keeps grabbing crates and bringing them next to me. I died twice this way. There will be a barrel or crate and the lukki minion will be moving around and the explosive item will attach to the minion, it will come next to me while I'n shooting and bam dead. Anyone else have this experience? Does it have collision with explosive items or something. It feels like a bug.
