Massive frame drop and sound problems after around 30min-1hr
Anyone else have this issue since the latest patch?

After close to an hour of play, sound suddenly degrades. Some sounds are missing, and others like spell sounds are delayed substantially. Then the music sometimes goes altogether. Then its followed by intermittent lag spikes at regular intervals until it becomes cripplingly slow.

Save & Quit, reload the world and its fine for a bit.

None of my settings, in Noita and outside of Noita have changed, drivers up to date etc.. Only happened since newest patch.

Maybe a memory problem?

i cant speak for the OP but looking at my task manager it doesnt seem like anything is being taxed very hard. my memory is only at 60% usage and everything else is even lower than that

I've had the same thing happen after ~2 hours play but a restart fixes it.

This is an old lingering problem that has yet to be addressed since they updated FMOD in one of the patches last year. Saving the game at a safe location and rebooting it will fix it, but it does suck the immersion out of it.

Good luck getting them to acknowledge this as we can't even get volume III of the soundtrack released.

I do but its almost from the start specially in the 2 first levels I dont know why, but I'm experiencing frame drops. I tried to monitor the cpu/ram/gpu/gpu ram resources but everything is running bellow half full capacity. Its not a memory leak its like there is some other process being call or so since I notice some screen breaks where and there, may be some exception log to console or something like that...

I'm in the same boat here. Noita used to run like a charm no matter how ridiculous the spell on screen but now, on certain run, I get the same frame drop, sound delays and just now, a CTD.
And just like OP, a restart fixes everything even if I do it in the middle of the slow down.

Yeah, I had zero issues before the latest patch, but I did hear of people having similar issues before. I also check task manager to verify resource usage and everything is well below what it should be for that kind of lag.

also, as a side note. xbox gamebar overlay doesn't seem to work the way it used to as well, It doesn't actually overlay. I could record a clip with the usual key shortcuts, and have to minimise Noita just to confirm that it did. Again, resolution settings did not change and are what they should be.

Same here, It's so unfun the lag is serious. Did you found a solution yet?

Huh. here I thought I had gone too hard mulching every last Hiisii except the healers in the Hiisii base. Turns out it's something others are experiencing.

Same issue cropped up for me, sounds died out, then began playing a good 10 seconds after when they should have. No wand firing sounds either.

Maybe a windows 10 problem for the last update.

Happened to me as well.

I have the same issue and I had the replay budget at max and reducing it to 100mb seems to have worked for me for now

Funny, i upgraded from a I5 7500 to a I7 10700k and got a huge framedrop after killing the dragon.
