EA publishes games that appeal to the lowest common denominator for a reason
cod is activision not EA... also what decade are we in? The cod train ended a while ago, military shooters have long been out of style now its rainbow haired post apocalypse hero shooters and battle royales. Where have you been?
Also you're talking like its a popular trend but I think you're just playing bad games.
and I dont play bad games any more I didnt pick out what I wanted to play as a kid
also once again most way points werent insultingly over bearing
>combines pc and phone/tables
once again cod didnt invent way points they invented putting them every 2 feet after every step
know the difference
Way points every 2 steps isnt a trend, in fact most games never used way points specifically but a consistent line. You're completely out of touch with games as a medium and what makes this clear is the statement that you said you were a kid when cod4 came out.
What do you qualify as a "modern game" you mean AAA design by committee trash? That stuff is irrelevant. Meanwhile you're on the noita forum, a modern game. What a weird qualifier. "if you cant run the cod game nobody is playing on ultra you dont actually count as a pc gamer"
What is wrong with you?
And as we've established it didn't have the influence you claim, way pointing was a necessity of open world games. You're complaining about the campaign of a game everyone bought for the multiplayer that nobody sought to copy at all except for its multiplayer. The only trend thats passed on from cod is level based progression systems and those are an absolute blight upon games in general but you wouldn't know that because you know nothing about the history of games.
