Most early enemies have a harder time aiming up, try to always attack from the top.
You can also abuse liquid like polymorphine, it works regardless of the difficulty. While you end up having less money it's often still better than trying to say, fight head-on the little guy that throw red cursed ball or a gatling gun with a not so great wand.
A lot of monster won't try to swim much making them easy target (if they don't drown). You could bring the lake or have a lucky rain or have a way to spawn some water to deal with the first part of the world.
I usually try to fully explore before I keep going.
basically try to rely more on the environment than simply trying to get a good wand.
Getting a long range wand for the hissi base is damn useful tho. you can outrange/dodge a lot of enemies here if you stay far from them and slowly kill them.
Though what Boksha said earlier about creating awand using a broken one? I am intrigued by this... Instead of burdening to ask anyone else I'll research this broken wand mechanic.
Thank you guys for your support.
A spark bolt into multicast pollen with an electricity mod on the pollen is also very handy for killing stuff around corners (You need electricity on it to take out mechanical units)
Considering that most monster can one shot you (or drop 3/4 of your health) I find healing not THAT relevant compared to having a good wand and some digging tool (to kill trough small gap and so on).
Unless you somehow are lucky and find a good amount of health up, then maybe you can afford to actually take a hit and not immediately die.
Yes of course you want to get a good wand, and you want to search the zone as long as you can to find health/spells/wands. But no matter how good your wand is, you will die to attrition before you make it down to the bottom, unless you get a source of healing, or bypass everything by getting a digging wand put together early and digging your way to the boss.
