Dark chest is gone.

So mad as of writing this. I've come across this before but didn't know what to do, and in my latest run I finally figured out what to do and trekked all the way to hell only for it to NOT BE THERE. I didn't use any explosive or matter-eating spells that could possibly destroy it, I checked the area to see if maybe it fell off, nothing. What the hell do I do? Sure, I could do this another run, but that's an answer I don't want to accept because I've already made it this far and refuse to just give up this quest.

Further detail: Yes, I am in the main world. No, there couldn't have been any enemies nearby to destroy it, the only one near was a hell crystal. I got here through naturally exploring Hell w/ a long distance cast teleport bolt, no spells that could possibly destroy it were cast nearby. And for whatever reason, the book there was also gone.
