I feel like Tinker With Wand Everywhere probably should have been the default
I appreciate the fact that the lack of TWWE forces players to work with the setups they have, and to carefully circumnavigate Holy Mountains if they want to continue crafting. It adds an extra layer of challenge and forces creativity on the player's part to make the most out of their tools.

But the late game feels pretty clearly designed for you to start making more deliberate use of your spells, especially as you branch out to areas outside of the main game. It is possible to carry wands back and forth for crafting purposes, but the farther outward you venture, the longer this process takes, especially if there are already certain Holy Mountains that you've destroyed. Playing optimally under these conditions is *extremely* tedious.

I've reached a point where I'm tempted to play the game with the "Start with TWWE" mod from now on; it's a little disappointing, because it's not like I don't mind the extra challenge, but there's been an entire set of temples and a half where the perk just doesn't show up, and I'm just tired of the extra hassle. Maybe it would be cool if the perk was more like the elements / moon radar, where you found it in a certain area of the game rather than the holy mountains; that way there's some barrier to entry for the early game, but you have a guaranteed method to obtain it for later. It just feels like it has way too much of an effect on the game's pacing to be left up to chance.

Anyway, just my observations.

Just kill the Master of Masters in the Wizard Den and he drops a stone which grants you TWWE while holding it

Personally whenever i used mods game didnt feel right and I just went back to vanilla. At this point i can do god runs.

No no, I totally get that. Again, this isn't a complaint about the game's difficulty, I just think the lack of TWWE really hurts the game's pacing, but the early game is also designed with that lack-of in mind. That being said...

I actually didn't know that! I've collected the stone before, but I must have had TWWE at the time, because I was under the impression it just transmutes liquids into mana.

Personally i feel tinker isnt that big compared to poly issues and how unfair the snow levels are. I got 1200 hrs and I still dont find the snow levels fair. Having a reasonably good dps wand by snow levels is a dice roll. You do usually have a way to quickly escape OR fight your way out, that i will say.

My main reasoning is its hard to even get spells you need as well as wands. Its only a giant issue if you get half way or more down without being able to fight steve/break in and out of the mountains.

Wand change ability stacks.
TWWE makes em unlimited.
Reaching a holy mountain gives you 5 (while allowing you to tinker all you want inside the HM).
