I desperately want a mobile version.
Please. I'm begging you. It doesn't even have to be a great port. You can upcharge for it. I'll pay $80 to have this on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retroid so I can play it on the go.

PLEASE.

The hardware simply isnt there yet. This is a pixel physics simulator you'd melt your phones

You don't know what you're talking about in even the slightest.

Okay, good luck with your mobile release :)

Upon looking up the retroid I've realized what you're talking about. This is a "laptop" built like a steam deck. It would run already as long as it has the right operating system. if you wanted you could use software to use it with the controller keys.

Edit: it uses android good luck with that OP.
Edit: Edit: Buy a steamdeck instead of Retroid

Instead of specifying that you were referencing a mobile device specifically made for gaming. Try taking your own advice for once

Also, the sentiment makes absolutely no sense; how can one comment only "nice" things when there is so much wrong in the world? Are you suggesting we all turn a blind eye to foolishness and evil that it may flourish? That is not very "nice".

I said it in my original post, though...

It's in the OP. It's not edited in. It's been there this whole time...

I'm imagining an actual mobile version (I can't see Nolla doing this thankfully)...

Treasure chests would become microtransaction loot crates.
'You've entered the Holy Mountain! Come back tomorrow or pay $10 to continue now!'.
'You found an Explosion Immunity Perk! This will last for 3 explosions. Buy more at Kolmi's Shop!'.

I mean if EA made it yesss lmao that would be so true
OP, just... No. for starters this game doesn't even play that nice on gamepad. And you want this game to play nice on a touchpad? give me a break.

Mobile games exceed on turn-based games, or games with EXTREMELY simplistic controls (think pinball for example). But add just a tiny bit of nuance like a WASD movement, and it breaks a part really quickly.

Also the audience for mobile games are completely different than those of the PC, there it's the norm for games to be p2w, freemium gatcha garbage. People shake their pants if they ever see a price tag to pay upfront. Also most people that game on mobile are either, 5-11 year old children who are complete casuals, or boomers who never played a nuanced game in their life. You really think they would bode well on a roguelike where runs can last up to 1-4 hours or more?

and the obvious elephant in the room, most phones can't handle noita, because of it's cpu bound nature and volatility of how much power it would need to draw from a mobile cpu, which are often a few performance cores, and a bunch of efficiency cores. no more than 8 cores, at a low clock. not even mentioning the battery life would go to the toilet.

Just... no.

You have no idea what you are talking about.
Check out for example game called Call of Duty mobile. You have 2 joysticks, a lot of button for nades/slides/vehicle controls. Look how good players play this game.
Ofc its possible to have great time on phone with touch controls. Or even plug mouse because for android bluetooth mouses/kb are no problem.
New phones have quite powerfull specs when it comes to CPU. Noita would run fine.
I would love to play this game outside house with my mouse and this tiny half-kb that i have,

Android runs on all ARM devices, that includes devices much more powerful than typical phones designed specifically for gaming.

High end gaming handhelds running android can flawlessly emulate PS2 games being upscaled 4x at 60FPS on NetherSX2.

With two sticks, touchscreen, more buttons than a ps4 controller and gyro there's no shortage of interface and control options either.

Anyone speaking out against this is ignorant or just mean-spirited, but likely both.
