Help! Ng+ Orbs?

Granted I'm sleep deprived BUT... I just started my first ng+ and... I know biome/procedural generation gets crazier. But How is it the lava lake is gone, and is the orb still in the same general location because I can't find anything after 30 minutes. Frustrated and confused, anyone know?

Orbs in NG+ have certain rather large areas where they'll spawn randomly. Areas are always the same but specific location, well... not so easy to find. Guidance powder is also something you might want to sort out.

Tip, if you manage to find an orb, it is in the same place in alternates worlds too.

Yeah, Guiding Powder is an absolute boon. It's not too late to collect the ingredients once you're in NG+. I can highly recommend it. Also like Damnion said, orbs are in the same place in parallel worlds (though I don't think they're the same as in the main world) so in principle you only have to find 22 orbs as long as you write down where you found them in one parallel world.

If you're not against it you can also use a website to check your seed and show you where the orbs are
