but the water needs to be ontop of the fire without becoming steam
just like irl water isnt a fire remover, its something that removes heat and oxygen, which puts out the fire
in noita it removes fire by removing the oxygen that removes the fire, and making you wet making you burning resistant
about the fire ontop of the water, im assuming there was oil, being lighter then water, floating on the water being on fire
slime, the purple sticky stuff, is a little better then water since it cant evaporate before it goes ontop of the fire
Thanks for the response. I don't think there was oil, but the steam and stuff makes sense.
Almost all things that can start a fire will also leak oil like the oil lamp and barrel
Ashardalon mentioned wetting your robe (slime will slow you down). That'll usually works well and there's rarely reason to put fires out (apart from yourself). But all plasma types works well here. Personal plasma beam perk, Paha silmä and all plasma spells. They are not too common and spells are easy way to kill yourself so be cautious.
Even better, setting fire to the peat actually purifies swamp to water.
