This game in general is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. And this is coming from someone who likes stupid esoteric ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I just had my best run so far only to die from a ricochet in the Holy Mountain.

After 281 hours, I've only made it as far as the temple of the art (once).

This afternoon I started with mud and unstable crystals and and found a basic black hole wand and a polymorph flask in the mines, unbelievable start;
Picked up the paha silma, beserkium, the kantele and music on the surface/mines;
Bought chainsaw, small teleport, torch, and I sh1t you not, a spark with trigger and vanilla explosion combo, and then successfully flying sheeped out of the first holy mountain with gold is forever (one re-roll).

Possibly my best start ever, and my first time getting the musical stuff.
At this point I'm having delusions of looping around the first few levels and building some pretty nice wands, maybe even going parallel world for the first time.

Somehow made my way through the obligatory fungal caverns ambush, and was trying to decide which potions and wands to carry back to the holy mountain first;
I pick up a wand with 8 chain bolts on it...
and I pixel-bump my head on toxic rock for somewhere between 10-20 damage taking off.

I got to the final level, with chat abusing me constantly. Steve was angry at every temple, had to kill him a bunch of times until the God's were "Very angry at me" - and then managed to die to the traps. Throughout the whole thing I never saw fire immunity, just several different explosion immunities. Had such hugely bad RNG, but was feeling soooo good that I made it to the end.

Then a fire puff and dart ended me.

Started a new Nightmare run and one of the 3 wands at the beginning of the cave had always-cast Circle of Healing on it. Cobbled together a pretty good damage wand, desperately searched the first area for heart containers, got one-shotted by a frog for 120 damage...

i died by fire just as i reached a checkpoint 1 pixel away from health regen. and it was because of my rock spirit wand one of the spirits exploded right on top of my and the sparks lit me up.

I used Kuu to drag a chest all the way from the bottom of the snow chasm up to the surface. Took a solid hour of digging, killing off any stragglers, the usual stuff that could spoil a perfectly good pillar entry. Finally messed with gravity enough to reach the altar. At the finish line, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chest decides to yeet itself towards the left screen edge at a ludicrous speed. No provocation, just GONE.

Really hoping the hiisi base delivers another one...

So far on this god run I have wasted three Sun Seed. First one I managed to transform into Auringonpoikanen but it wandered off screen and I never saw it again. Second one was destroyed by my ghost minions happily shooting few hundred nukes around (I did few End of everything spells in order to gain Great chests) and the seed was hidden in nearby tree.

In last case I used Matosade for feeding the soon to be sun but apparently those asshats can chew whole thing easily... And as a ♥♥♥♥ nugget a top of cake during last scenario I also lost my Paha Silmä.

Most recent death was because I didn't expect short-range homing to have a powerful enough effect to spin it around a tiny airborne enemy and then conveniently lose homing when it's speeding in my direction.

Well finally found one in 4th parallel. And okay, originally I had no plan to do Sun quest so I might have ignored few along the way.

Achieved a near-god run. Enraged the gods, killed every lich in the mountain, acquired immunity perks to everything except melee and slice. Killed the final boss, grabbed the Hermes Bird, started ascending to begin a New Game +. Decided to go to the Tower first in both parallels. Filled up with 4 25 capacity wands. Went and killed Leviathan, picked up 3 life upgrades, zero issues. Went back, started a NG+.

One-tapped by a shotgunner that picked up a wand that had Omega Saw Blade.
