Noita
Saving and loading?
Just wondered if there was a way to save and load, I understand it's a roguelike but it kinda sucks losing my cool weapons. I'd rather play the default one life mode when I've had practice

officially, no.
workaround, there's a save file you can copy/paste/rename.

yes if you don't mind copying and pasting files. go to C:\Users\YOU\AppData\LocalLow\Nolla_Games_Noita and make a backup of Save 001.
Then if you die you can delete all of save 001 and paste from backup if necessary

Thanks for the info

One warning though: the decision between trying to learn new stuff and potentially dying, or playing it safe and increasing your chances of winning is one of the things that makes the game fun. Even when you're new at the game, save-scumming can take some of the tension and fun out of it.

In the end, it's your own decision though, but keep in mind: learning at risk of death is a big part of the game.

Oh I 100% understand (and was honestly waiting for the YOU NEED TO PLAY IT RIGHT, LOSER kind of response to this). I do learn something new every run but like in Dead Space 3, id like to reload at a save point to tweak my weapons to do a better job in the upcoming action scene. Just a bit disappointed when I spend 10 mins tweaking my awesome wand then die 2 mins into leaving the holy mountain before I get to use it

There's a mod that adds a "quicksave" and "quickload" feature. It's basically a macro that backs up your save file on quicksave and replaces it with the backup on quickload. Faster than doing it manually. I think this is it.

I mean no offense or insult but it's really important that you know this:
Hard games sometimes feel like they're are good because of what is called "cognitive dissonance". If you clean the Eiffel-Tower with a toothbrush for six years you will feel a sense of accomplishment. This is not because you've done something useful, but because your brain goes "There is no way I've tortured myself through this for no good reason. It must have made been worth it."
Should Noita suddenly suck because you can save a game, that would means it wasn't good in the first place. That is not the case, it is still loads of fun.

But please mind this warning: Save your "cognitive dissonance" for things that are hard to do, but also useful or healthy for you. Like sports, work, education. If you fight yourself through extremely hard computer games, your just gonna develop an addiction. Go jogging instead.

So what you're saying is... I should try cleaning the eiffel tower with a toothbrush instead of playing this game?
