What are good methods to kill Stevari? (Angry god in the temple)
I killed him once with luminous drill (still took like 80 damage tho) :happy_goblin:

I have some chaotic polymorphine and managed to get out of the temple without it collapsing. Now I was trying to get back into the temple, but as soon as I polymorph near the collapse point I have to cross I fall down again unable to hover. Shouldn't I have a new hover-energy bar when I transform? I don't get it.

Don't know if they changed it but you used to be able to use polymorph to infinitely hover, just polymorph yourself in midair. I think sheeps have limited flight so just remain in place until it wears off and gain air in human form. Edit: Basically it reset your hover meter.

Changing to a new creature seems to not add new levitation bar.

Starting as Polymorphed creature and then changing back to your original character does seem to add a fresh levitation bar.
one thing i do is go to where you would exit the temple and trigger the roof collapse. DONT TRIGGER IT YET. anger the gods and steve will spawn in the area where the roof collapses. Leave and he gets crushed by the roof! lol. just need to dig to get his gold. will probably only work one time as he spawns in all temples after as soon as you teleport in. I laughed the first time i did this.

its absurdly stupid to disable wand editing permanently in that HM for 200 gold.

normally you want to avoid collapse at all means, if first area have no poly-teleportarium it's best to try your luck in ice caves and if ice caves have nothing, hitting new game.

I disagree, in most of the early Holy Mountains you can get away with just one set wand and picking up wands you find to bring to the next Holy Mountain. By the time you are Hisii/Jungle your wand is good enough that you don't need to swap spells on the fly anyway, or you already have black holes, drills, whatever. I leave every Holy Mountain the normal way (unless there is a convenient other path made) and I regularly get to Base at least...
something i've been doing is using circle of transmutation (polymorph or chaotic polymorph variety). Sheep are no problem. With the latter, transform steve into anyone else that is a lot easier to deal with. Be careful with the chaotic poly though. One time he transformed into Hissii Boss and when I damaged him his little minions came out and they started to transform into other creatures as well. Still easier to deal with than steve though
poly circle is very rare spell and you are very unlikely to get.
poly circle the fish! lol
One thing I've found helps a LOT if you don't want to statue-cheese him: (most of the time I anger the gods I do so with the Black Hole spell, so I'm assuming you already have that spell). Before starting the fight, use the Black Hole to create a path from the top of the shop room to the top of the perk room. You now have a nice little circle you can either guide the Stevari around (if he fits in the tunnel) or at least indefinitely run away from him as you shoot him by using it to move from one room to the other and back. This way you can kill him even if the only wand you have has a low recharge rate and can't kill him quickly. (e.g. a modified bomb staff, if you insist on angering the gods in the first Holy Mountain you encounter) Fairly easy to do without ever getting hit as well. Having a permanent tinker-spot should make fighting any Stevari in other HMs a lot easier.

Of course this only works if you have access to Black Hole... not sure if something similar can be done with other spells; maybe you could use Acid to corrode holes in both water pools to make a circle around the health and spell refresher, or use Giant Black Hole to connect the two pools...

Circle of shielding is one way to cheese Steve early, granted you have a wand that can eventually kill him. It's also seems to be a pretty common spell for the first two levels.
