Is there anyway to Dig back up WITHOUT Angering the gods?
Anyone know?
Or go back to the Holy mountain.

It only extends so far to the sides, so im pretty sure you could go to the upper far right and dig back up and to the left if you have something that can go thru the dense rock.

What about getting back INTO a Holy Mountain you've already gone through? (say to Edit wands)

If you collapsed the ceiling in the Holy Mountain, you can't edit wands there anymore.

Polymorphine and chaotic polymorphine helps, you can also use teleport bolt.

Keep track of EXACTLY where the trigger happens to drop the ceiling, then teleport bolt right below that point into the small area with the blue lamp, the ceiling should not collapse if you did it right.

Take notice to how the enemies and creatures don’t procc the ceiling collapse, it is only you who does it.

You can dig through the sides of the holy mountain so long as you don’t break through the outer walls of the edit wands room.

First of all, there's the "Peace with gods" perk.
This perk can be found randomly as any other perk, and it disabled the gods from spawning when you dig through the holy mountain.

You can also dig around the holy mountain, to the sides. However this usually requires a lot of black holes or that you have gotten a spell from the Alchemist boss to duplicate your black holes. Dense rock is dense yo.

You can leave and return to the Holy Mountain without breaking it by using polymorph potions or tekeport bolts to teleport/sheep past the exit trigger that makes the holy mountain break. It's not too hard, but poly can be a bit risky if any hisi/fireflies/red bees are waiting outside to attack you in sheep form.

Easiest way really is to use a black hole to dig through the floor and just kill Steve when you're powerful enough tbh. Explosion immunity makes him do nearly no damage at all.

don't be afraid of angering the gods. steve really isn't that hard to deal with once you have a decent wand. if you are far enough in to want to go back up, then chances are you have a good enough wand. you can also just crush him with a tablet.

Even then, you can still polymorph or freeze him for an ez kill. No OP god slayer needed

You can either teleport back or dig around it. There might be more ways too that i don't know about. Heard some rumors about hidden fast travel.

Then again killing Skelly isn't impossible so angering the gods might be not much of an issue if you got the right toys. So even if you can't find a teleport or the right tools you can probably find something further down to help you in some way. But usually teleport can be found somehow early.

For the record, a wand tailored to maximize the use of Triplicate Bolt is usually the easiest and "cheapest" way to kill Steve because the sheer number of projectiles fired rapidly both break his shield and get in some decent damage before the shield recharges. Since Triplicate Bolt isn't a rare spell, this is usually a better than trying to build a god wand that's just as likely to kill you too.

If you have luminous drill you can also cheese him because he can't destroy brickwall. Just make a passage small enough for you to fit in and shoot him with anything until he's dead.

I had a luminous drill that returned 30 mana each fire, on a very low cast time and recharge wand, and Steve ate ♥♥♥♥ so fast I didn't even know he was a boss... I miss that wand
