Darkness bug?
Not sure if it's a bug or if deliberate, but in a couple of my games the explored area remains dark. You can only ever see in your current vicinity. Reloading didn't change it so I just started a new game and it was back to normal. Anyone know?

The magic temple is fairly dark, and the dark cave is almost always completely black.

Also there often are some areas near the top of mines/forgotten laboratory/frozen vault that are darker than they should be (these are all tiny parts of those levels though).

They may have added a dark level biome modifier (like spelunky has) in the last patch?
(I haven't re-extracted the game files to check yet.)

It's a biome modifier added in 1.0. Sometimes biomes will be like that.

it just makes true sight S rank perk nothing more.

That's the most difficult level modifier in the game, IMO. I used to think it was the plants until I played the 'fog of war' in the Caves. You constantly have no clue if you've discovered areas or not while going around in circles looking for loot.

You need a torch/light spell, or drink worm blood to see in the darkness, i don't remember if the all-seeing spell makes those areas visibles.

I had this in the Hiisi base once. It's practically a run-ender due to how important fighting around corners is in that area. Except now if you duck behind a corner, the area you came from slowly becomes dark. And when you pop back into the fray, the area, again, only SLOWLY becomes light again, and by the time you can see you've already got a grenade in your face. Annoying as hell; for next time I'll try to bring an All-Seeing Eye spell with me to counter it.

Yeah that's bad. I've only seen it in the mines and now I just restart. If it can happen in any biome randomly that's quite simply not fun.

entire game designed to provide some form of suffering

darkness is not as bad as seed that prevent any form of digging spells from spawning

then you use Acid for rock wood and metal. and fire/lanterns to burn wood; and mana boost potions to melt metals..

It's not like the game doesn't offer options.
