How to save the game?
Obviously this game is like hardcore mode, you die, its over. Is there any possible way to save the game?

Or maybe this game is not on my nerve :P

It saves when you quit.

There is a hacky way to "reload" from the last time you quit the game, but I'd rather not say, it's not how the game is meant to be played. Someone may have made a mod for it, if save scumming is your thing.

You'll have to use a mod or at the very least an automated script on your computer. This is a common concern, so there's bound to be an easy solution made by someone else.

The answer to your question is yes. You didn't ask the question you actually wanted to if you already know it saves your progress when you quit.

No I dont know if the game saves progress. When I do "quit" the game kicks me out to Steam client, when I press new, it starts from scratch. And through the options you can't load your saved progress. So that's why I asked if there is a way to save the game and load it back again. But if you don't want to say then fine, God bless. Maybe someone else will be kind enough to tell. You can keep the secret to yourself. No idea what you would gain by not telling but have it your way o/

Hit ESC, choose "Save & Quit", which then shuts down the game. To load (and delete) the save, just start up the game again and it will load you right into your saved game.
At least that's how it works for me and probably everyone else.

Then don't press New? There's a "continue" option when you click "save and quit," I don't understand. Is the option not there? Do you not click "save and quit"? If you quit a game in progress from the ESC menu, there should absolutely be a "continue" button when you start the game again.

I was referring to a save file that you'd be able to reload from over and over from the same point, and as I said, it's a hack you can pull by breaking the game. That's obviously not what anyone is supposed to do.

You seriously never saw "continue" as an option when you ran your game? Or did you just never quit it properly?

When I die and press continue nothing happens, I have to press or quit to start the game again. How can the game be loaded after you die to your previous save that's what I want to know.

Oh, that. I see what you're saying. No, you can't; it's one continuous "iron man" save per life, once you die that's it, there's nowhere for the game to load from. When you die your only option is to start over. "Continue" there basically means "continue viewing this screen." So you can't just die and reload from a single save point over and over to try again, you'd need to find a mod for that. Most roguelites and roguelikes don't have this option anyway, it's considered one of their core aspects.

When you save and quit the data is stored in a part of your computer's user data directory. I'm sure a quick google search can give you directions to find the right folder. You can back up the entire save00 folder and then replace it to savescum.

The game's mood relies on permadeath to heighten tension, so beware the effect on your experience.

I see, well. Thank you.

Several speed runners and broadcasters like to play a certain seed... Save scumming or using a mod to pick a seed that's always the same. Same thing, users/username/appdata/locallow/nolla games/save00.

Just use a mod. Not everyone wants to play the game the same way which is what is so great about mods.

I will link you the ones you might want to use. All you do is download the one you want and place it in the mods folder in the Noita directory. Steam\steamapps\common\Noita

This mod is more balanced. Basically whenever you reach the place in between levels where the shop is and the health is when you pickup the health you get a respawn. You can choose one that maxes out on one respawn. You can pick which one if you get this mod. You respawn at the last health spot you picked up assuming you have a respawn left.

This mod is more forgiving in terms of being able to respawn at any death. However the game will spawn you at the starting area but you will have your spells and progress you just have to get back to where you where at

Please do! I also plan to be releasing a modpack in the near future. It currently has around 30 mods in it and it is organized for people to pick what they like and don't like in the in game mod menu easily.

When I do I will be sure to let you know in case you are interested.
